I can't seem to find much info on Overlea, MD. Can anyone tell me about this place?

I used to often visit relatives in Overlea, many years ago, and I don't think much has changed. I get the idea that the neighborhood gets overlooked because it's all residential, with only "mom and pop" businesses and no Malls, corporate worksites, major recreation, or glamorous features. I think Overlea also uses a Baltimore mailing address (although it's part of the suburban County) so it lacks an identity in that sense. I notice that Overlea high shool is rated "Average" by commenters on the "great schools net" website and the school now includes an "Academy of Business/Finance", a JROTC program, and HVAC vocational program. The neighborhood is a short, quite convenient drive from attractions such as the gigantic Towsontown Shopping Mall and University, Morgan University, the School for the Blind, and Essex Community College. The population is still overwhelmingly Caucasian. That's all I know about Overlea. Maybe someone else here knows more.
