My family and I are relocating to the Severna Park/Arnold area....We have a 5 year old son in Kindergarten and will be looking for a rental at least for the 1st year. I was wondering if anyone could give me the scoop about those areas. I keep hearing that SP is all great and the schools are the best, but is there any bad neighborhoods in SP or Arnold? Anything I should avoid? Is the area pretty safe in general?

We would like to live in a family/kid friendly area within close proximity to schools and parks. We are in our mid 30's, very active outdoors people, and would like to have neighbors who have young families that our son can play with easily.

Thank you for helping out!

I live in Severna Park area and I love it! It is a wonderful place for a family. My DD is about the same age as your son, and she is constantly busy with her friends.
I am actually a Realtor, so if you need help finding a rental here just pm me.
We are busy this weekend with 3 great Fall Festivals here. Depending on where you live you can have water access nearby for canoeing or kayaking, we have tennis and golf.
The schools are mostly all blue ribbon, you can check out schooldigger.com for more information about a particular school.
If you want more information about particular neighborhoods, just let me know.

Thanks Kimberly,

That would be super helpful. I will send you a message soon. We are unfortunately moving in the middle of winter, either early dec or right after the holidays. We will be renting for a least a year. So I am not sure if you deal with rentals, but any information you could help we with would be wonderful.
Again, thank you and I will be in touch!

What does your budget look like for renting? Severna Park and Arnold are very nice places to live but very expensive as well......you're looking at $1750+ a month for a home rental.
