Could anyone tell me about the community of Centreville? What type of feel do you get living in Centreville? Are there good schools? Lots of kids? Are there good neighborhoods within walking distance of the library? Thanks in advance!

Centreville is the county seat of Queen Anne's County, but is VERY small. It's surrounded by many miles of very flat terrain, farms and cornfields. With Centreville so small, you will find yourself going to Chestertown, Easton, or Kent Island for shopping, cultural, entertainment, and medical needs. Chesapeake (Community) College is also nearby. Annapolis, across the Bay, is a fantastic, charming, and entertaining city, however, the state just voted to raise the toll on the wilkipedia.org before long. You can find school statistics and reviews on GreatSchools - Public and Private School Ratings, Reviews and Parent Community and SchoolDigger.com - School Rankings, Reviews and More - Public and Private Elementary, Middle, High Schools .

Centreville is a real eastern shore town..filled on main street with gorgeous old houses..it is safe. Has a great fair every summer and nice beach for swimming in the summer (Corsica) It has grown alot since I was akid, but yes you will most likely head to Easton (backroads take me 15min) for Target,Walmart, etc. and maybe Chestertown (about the same) but has no stores there. That town is beautiful but dieing...lived there 15 years..NO WORK!! I think you would love it in C-ville the schools are good, but the taxes are higher than Talbot county which is where Easton is. Annapolis is an expensive!!!!! crime ridden area. Unless you sail or are wealthy..the downtown is for tourists around the Naval Academy..it is nice to go for lunch or to the mall occassionally, and traffic is awful...other than the private schools, (my friend has four in public) the schools are not good in Annapolis. One is city type of living and the other is rural country. I don't think many ppl. lock their doors in Centreville..I can only think of one bad street...Kidwell. I worked in C'ville for 3 years..so I have friends who live in a nice neighborhood across from the high school...they love it there..and the schools. The houses look like the sit on alittle short of an acre. I say WELCOME!! come on to the shore...and you are only 1hr. from the beach too! If that is your thing!

They had better from now on, since you just told all the thieves on here where to go for easy pickin's!

Many people from Centerville commute to jobs on the western shore. I think Queen Annes County is well worth the bridge toll, even with the coming increases.
