Thanks for the response - last yr. we met up w/friends from Pgh. (figured this was kind of a halfway meeting point) and loved all the pumpkins, etc. plus it was beautiful weather in Oct. to walk around, visit shops, eat out at the Crabby Pig?

Oh, yeah, all that stuff is still there. This is just our Homecoming week and the city gets decked out for the big game, lots of red or blue (depending on neighborhood) put up on display. It is still a nice time to visit.

I didn't want to start another thread and this is kind of related as I heard on the weather that your area might get an inch or so tomorrow? We're heading there Sat. to meet up w/our friends, forecast seems nice, I was hoping to find something or other to keep us entertained for a bit. We usually meet up in the McDonalds lot (by that Rose's or something place that's "supposed" to be a shopping area? Anyway - we then park (or did last time) by the Visitor Center and walk - any tips? TIA (It won't let me rep you again)

Frostburg is supposed to get flurries, but no accumulation. Cumberland's high on Saturday is supposed to be about 48 with some morning rain.
