National Harbor is still a work in progress. There is a good reason why the developers fenced-off the entire entire NH complex to separate it from its surroundings, and also why they strictly avoid associating with the community name "Oxon Hill".

Of which Asian ethnic group are you? Because although that area is majority African-American for many miles around, there is also a large Filipino community in Oxon Hill and Fort Washington. In Oxon Hill are the "Mrs. Filipino Nursing Home", the large Saint Columba Church which is majority-Filipino including its priest, and next door to it is a large Filipino community center building as well as a few Filipino restaurants.

In my opinion, it was in a stupid location to begin with and doesn't serve a purpose if it doesn't benefit the surrounding communities. I wouldn't bother living there. The National Harbor is design to fail.
