Hi all, im new here and was hoping for some info! I live in Buffalo, NY and am going to school in Wilmington, DE in the fall. I am a teacher, and MD seems to have better paying (and more plentiful) jobs so I was hoping to live in MD between Baltimore and Wilmington. That puts me around Aberdeen, Have Dr Grace, Elkton on the map. (Or any others in between that I don't know about!) Does anyone have any input on these towns? Safety, things nearby (strip plazas, stores), welcome to outsiders... I drove down and checked out Elkton, doesnt seem to be much there...Im trying to be within 45 minutes of Wilmington and Baltimore...

Can't really give you any specifics but there is a lot of growth in Harford County due to the influx of many new workers at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Aberdeen or HdG might be a good a place as any to start. Havre de Grace has a certain amount of charm, I like it.

Coming from NYS, you will still see a reduction in taxes by coming to MD. Probably not as much as you would see if you moved to DE, though. Worth checking it out IMO.
