My job is in Suitland, MD and I am thinking of relocating to Columbia. Can anyone tell me what the traffic will probably be like going from this way in the morning and evening?

95 really is the only way...getting in and out of Columbia will be harder bc they already have too many cars for their roads and the new Wegmans will bring more traffic.

Absolutely nasty. Going south on I-95 wouldn't be terrible until you reached the beltway, but it's still would be a good 30-45mins just to get to that point. Getting around the beltway is the real headache. So total, I'd say 1hr30min at a minimum. On a good day with little/no traffic it'd be about an hour (just getting to I95 and off the beltway adds some time). You might be able to take the MARC train from Hanover to DC, then connect to get to Suitland (depending on where work is) or you could drive down I95 to Greenbelt and take the green line straight to Suitland.

Unless you have some strong adversion to Virigina, I would strongly advise looking that way.
