Use your own definition...maybe you like mountains, maybe you like rolling hills, maybe you like coastal areas....whatever it may be.

If you were to list your top 3 'prettiest' counties in Maryland, what would they be? What are some determining factors for your choices?

If you can't remember all their names, I've included a map:

Garrett - mountains, rolling farms, the lake, Swallow Falls, snow.....
Saint Marys - beautiful plantations, marshland, the bay
Anne Arundel - Annapolis, the bay

Talbot (farms, the bay, Easton, St. Michaels) and Allegany (mountains, Cumberland, Frostburg) are close behind. Allegany might be higher on the list if I hadn't gotten so used to looking at it everyday for 17 years, but it's beautiful nonetheless and I always love coming home to it. I've definitely acquired a newfound respect for my hometown area since I've gone away for school.

Anne Arundel- because I prefer the water and Annapolis. Full of history.Driving along the many rivers and the bay admiring the houses is one of my favorite things to do.
Queen Anne- again for the water and the serene atmosphere.
Fredrick- mix of historic towns, rolling mountains and quiet.
