Hi, my husband is looking at a job in Bethesda, MD and we are looking to live on the VA side since we have lived in Nova before and enjoyed it very much. However, we were wondering if this is feasible. What is the traffic like during commuting times? What are the tax differences and rental home and high school differences? Any info/insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The morning traffic on the Beltway is heavy in the VA to MD direction. There was a discussion a while back comparing school quality, and folks said the was not a significant difference in the quality of the best school districts. There a plenty of nice areas in Bethesda and North Potomac. So, unless you have an overwhelming reason to live in Virginia, I would live as close to work as possible.
