I am for rail lines but a lot of the rail line route has serious influence by politics and of course race...Why can't they built a rail route based on people that actually go to work then serving those that don't really work? We can't keep throwing money to save /help those who choose not to help themselves to begin with..what's the point? for a few votes?

At the western end of the Red Line there are about 12,000 jobs at SSA. At the east end of the red line is Bayview Hospital (2000?). In the middle of the red line are downtown and Harbor East (massive employment centers). A transfer at Charles Center will get you to Johns Hopkins Hospital, the city's biggest employer.

It's definitely going to get people to work.

Additionally, do you think this was done without study and re-study?
