Well I call myself The Human Fish Repellant so I'm not sure my advice will be taken seriously. But according to the fishing magazines the Potomac is one of the best bass fisheries in the nation. The cove by the WW bridge is a hot spot, the MD state record was caught there. Up river it's obviously small mouth territory. Early in the year the discharge below the power plant in Dickerson is the place to be as the fish gravitate towards the warmer water for obvious reasons. The WSSC resevoir out NH Ave at Tridelphia is a great place for crappie. Go to the general store, get some small minnows and fish near shore. But don't get the smallest minnows, they die in a second. Or put a small yellow *** under a bobber with 4 pound test.

If you are in Silver Spring there's always crayfish in Sligo Creek.

If someone knows that, why would they post it on a public forum and spoil the fishing for themselves?

I will tell you where all the best spots are. But since ALL fishermen are liars, I don't see what the point would be. So, tell me what species you are going after, and I will tell you all the best spots...LOL

Seriously what's the big deal? Think he will fish out the Potomac River or the Chesapeake Bay?

Sub: I didn't know you were talking salt water. The Bay is a great place if you have access to a boat. If not I wouldn't bother. Bottom fishing for spot, croaker etc is a high hit rate for sure.
