Obviously you've been to the training. Commit a minor offense, be told don't do it by the police, then do it again, refuse to provide ID when asked, draw a crowd, throw a bike at the police then start filming the results.

Granted, I have no kids, but I thought Blackpool, the premier seaside resort in Northern England, was tacky, until I visited OC. On my first trip there in 1994, I vowed it would be my last, and I've kept the vow.

Yet another thread that highlights the pretentiousness and elitism of so many Marylanders.

What do you expect, though, from a state which, unlike West Virginia, does allow first cousins to marry?

Maryland has the 2nd highest percentage 9.72 of residents who are millionaires, by liquid assets, only NJ, 9.76 has more. I'm surprised you're surprised. The cousin issue is irrelevant to this issue.

What makes you think I'm surprised? The reality is that many Marylanders think waaay too much of themselves.

Keep in mind that I know many of these pretentious elitists. The ones I enjoy talking to are the ones who have $80,000 vehicles that sit for a couple months because they can't afford a new battery/tires.

You were sufficiently motivated to write a post that has nothing to do with Ocean City, in an old thread, not yet another thread........

My comment absolutely has to do with Ocean City and the pretentiousness of some who commented.

As far as my commenting on an old thread, I also participated when it was new. I will also note that you also commented on an old thread.

Will you identify those you believe to be pretentious?
You only mentioned Marylanders and WV. No relevance to OC.
Knowing it was an old thread, you described it as "yet another".
My comment is exempt from your "old thread" allegation because I didn't describe it as "yet another". I'm done with this bickering.

I did a quick scan since it's an old thread, but most posters seemed to either say they liked it or say they didn't think it's all that great. I didn't see anyone really claiming it's an elite beach town.

Outside of Maryland, it's not very well-known. I went there a few times as a kid and never really saw the appeal, but that may be different as an adult. It's pretty much just a local beach town that's got some decent food and fun; nothing more, nothing less.

I didn't see much in the way of pretentious behavior, perhaps it can be pointed out? I did however see a very disappointing racist comment that has no place here.

As for the incident not sure this is the right board but I don't see how these officers are to blame. The teens were told they were breaking a really stupid law, who can smell a vape anyway? They ignored the warning, then refused to give an ID and were combative. That is cause for arrest, if they resist then force is needed.
