Per the web site, link attached below, passing the test will fulfill one of the requirements for gun ownership in Maryland. What are the other requirements?

Keep in mind O'Malley just passed a huge gun control law effective oct 1.

If you want to get a handgun, you must undergo a 4 hour training course in order to get what will be a handgun qualification license and once you buy said handgun you will be fingerprinted. I'm not entirely clear on the background checks although they will be more extensive and I think you have to be clear of all PBJs (probation before judgement).

Thanks. I don't think I need one of the weapons on the ban list.

Most of what I said in the second post is new stuff. The procedure was a lot less stressful (although still not easy) prior to the passage of these gun control laws.

It's probably easier for criminals to obtain guns than law-abiding citizens in Maryland.

and you have to leave it at home right? which means you won't have it to protect yourself on the street.

If I'm wrong about having to leave it at home then tell me what the correct rule is.

You are allowed to carry it on your property or whatever is designated as your property (except if you have a MD CCW), but not outside said property.
