Remember that there is also county taxes in addition to the state taxes... used to live in PGC then moved to Northern VA and gave myself a 2% raise.

That property tax load is going to be the County property taxes, the State doesn't bill separately for property taxes, they're collected with the County bill and remitted to the State.

Wasn't referring to property taxes, in addition to the state income tax:

Maryland Income Tax Rates and Brackets

There's also a county tax that get tackle onto your income based on the county you live in:

Their definition of "worst" is highly relative. If you're in a high tax state with a great public services, how is that worse than being in a low tax state with crappy schools and large wait times for police and firefighters? This list should be called the top 10 states with the highest taxes.
