I kind of want it to pass just to see the meltdown on this board.

What's to discuss? On the face... it's a non issue.
Of course people should have access to just about anything for a medical purpose.

As regards MJ... as a natural state ag product it should be legal by default.
But until it is... everything else is about collusion to maintain a black market.

I don't see the point of decriminalization, either make it legal or don't.

There are plenty of people who are against legalization, de-criminalization and medical marijuana. The anti-drug folks are in large numbers

As for legal or nothing that was the first try, they couldn't get the votes so this was a compromise bill. For now. But the train is moving towards legalization all over the country. Personally I am very surprised at this recent change in attitude.

Most of them either have some money in the game or just refuse to understand.
The rest of us need to keep imposing reality on them.

I'm not. I see it as inevitable.

What I'm surprised about is that it's taking this long to achieve.
Legalization should have been accomplished 30 years ago.

That isn't going to happen. Small increments, chipping away at the underpinnings of bias.
But until it is... everything else is about collusion to maintain a black market.

Who benefits from that underlying illegality and the black market prices?
Not anyone who uses it -for any purpose.

I'd rather discuss Doug Gansler's claim that he brought the Beltway snipers to justice.

I don't think he's anti weed so much as he's so pro Cops and Courts and Jails.
Heck, his wife is a Judge and FIL was AG.

These people who are EMPLOYED by the system have a vested interest in propping up illegality.
They really should know better but still need it pointed out to them regularly.

I'm not sure what pro court or pro jail means.
