Does anyone know of a cost of living calculator that compares Annapolis to Baltimore?

Do you think the cost of living is higher in Baltimore or Annapolis? Thank you.

I like that one too but it doesn't have annapolis. Every calculator has baltimore and dc but not annapolis.

Thanks for the link. I wish there was a salary comp/cost of living comp that directly compared Annapolis to other places. Baltimore & DC show up but they are different. My assumption is Annapolis is more expensive than Baltimore and less expensive than the DC area. But by exactly how much?

Like if you were to make 100,000 in Baltimore, how much would you need to make in Annapolis?

If you make 100k a year in both Annapolis or Baltimore you should live a comfortable life. Now it depends upon how many people with 100k support or what type of lifestyle do you live.

i was just using 100K as a nice easy number to compare to. but if you are moving from a lower cost of living area like in the southeast and taking a job in annapolis, there are no tools to compare your current location to annapolis. you can only compare it to baltimore as there are numbers available. so is Annapolis area more expensive than Baltimore area?

thanks! looked at the DC cost of living comparision to Baltimore and it is so much higher! do you think employers in the Annapolis area mostly use baltimore as a comparision to other places for perspective employees?

Of course they do. The employer is out to save as much money as possible. Since so many people commute from the Baltimore area to Annapolis, they use those figures for pay rates, etc.
If they told you the cost of living was similar (although a slight bit lower) to DC, they'd have to pay more in salaries to get people to work for them.
