Call AACPS back and ask them what subjects they anticipate hiring for or having vacancies for. If you teach Math, Science, Spanish, Chinese, or ESOL, I guarantee you'll have a job near Annapolis with AACPS (ex AACPS teacher here, new Howard County teacher!). THey are in dire need of Spanish teachers and math and Spec. ed and esol. If you're English/Lit, it'll be tough. Don't let up on them and just call a couple times a week until you get someone competent to speak with. Like someone else said, the board of ed employees sometimes act like you're putting them out if you ask too many questions. Keep trying. Check aimsmd.org as well for private school listings and there's always Carney Sandoe. They'll help you get a private school job. Google it.

It is your problem when you're acting like a classless jerk.

Unless you're 4 years old, in which case I would have more patience.
