You know, down here in SoMD we get the DC and Baltimore stations and unless someone important is bleeding, or Mother Nature is bearing down, they rarely come down. Well, there was the time they came when Bobby Nutwell shot an Emu when he was goose hunting.

Anyway, when I'm up in PA and am at where I'm from (Jefferson/Clarion Counties), I'd much rather watch the local news on WJAC from Johnstown or WTAJ from Altoona rather than the Pittsburgh stations.

I ask the last because when my brother lived in Carlisle he got WHAG there.
Actually Hagerstown would get Baltimore's NBC channel 11 over the air not Pittsburgh's 11. I don't think one even in Cumberland could pick up Pittsburgh TV over the air much less Hagerstown. In the old analog days the Harrisburg/Lancaster area's WGAL NBC channel 8 could reach Hagerstown and sometimes even Richmond's WWBT NBC 12 could make it there as well ( though rare ) but I had never heard Johnstown's channel 6 or Charlottesville's WVIR NBC 29 for that matter making it to Hagerstown even though as recently as 2010 WVIR was available on cable in the Winchester/Front Royal area just 45 miles or so south of Hagerstown.

Today Hagerstown is in the DC media TV market though for a brief time back in the 90's they were their own market but those days are long over.
