Just put our house up for sale in Crofton. Had 8 people through it. Is this normal? We thought the market was bad, are there predictions for a turn around?

I hate to tell you this, but a lot of people go through open houses just for fun. I know my hubby and I love to go through them- anytime we happen to see one nearby, we'll walk through. Sometimes we'll even drive around on a Sunday looking for them. We are not at all looking to buy. Maybe you'll get lucky, though! Good luck!

I think the market might be turning around because some of my clients are puttign offers on house and then all of a sudden theirs a bidding war but they are not bidding over price they are asking for the sales price or maybe 1k or 2k over the asking price. So i do think it depends upon the area and price of the house if its under 350k it will be sold faster more then that and you might have to wait a little longer. You might have to market the house as well as your agent. You can post it on Craigslist, newspaper.

People want to buy houses but banks won’t lend them the money. Why? Because most Maryland houses are grossly overpriced. Things really got out of hand during the housing bubble and it’s going to take a while for the average person’s salary to allow them to actually afford a house in MD.

Also, many government workers that reside in the area are Baby Boomers that will soon be eligible for retirement, and they also want to sell their house to cash in on the equity. The result is a glut of homes on the market with fewer qualified buyers.

Beside… Maryland has just become too hectic with rush-hour traffic that can best be described as a nightmare

I just looked at the foreclosure list in Frederick and then I went to the realtor database site and most of them are on there for way above what they owe. Personally, if I was foreclosing and I put it on the market before that happened I wouldn't try to make a profit, I would just try to get rid of it so I wouldn't have a foreclosure on my credit.
