Does anyone know the apartment called "The enclave" at SS? The price is really good and the photos are also quite "ok". After an online searching about comments, opinions and reviews I cannot do a global conclusion... Please, could someone give me his/her feedback?

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,

I don't know the specific building, but looking at a map I do know the general area. It's very much suburban as opposed to the urban environment of downtown SS, which is about 2 -3 miles south. Besides the FDA, you can't walk to anywhere you might want to go to, and anywhere you can walk to you wouldn't want to..... Unlike downtown SS there is no metro service, and I don't know what the bus service is like. You could walk to work, but you'll need a car to do most everything else. If you lived downtown and took the bus to work, you'd have much more flexibility for other transit options, evenings and weekends.

I mostly agree, but you could walk to the Boston Market or Giant for Food. Or you can walk to the synagogue if that's your religious choice. It is on several bus lines to get you to Metro.

If you read the OP, I don't think you'll get the impression any of those are high on his priority list.

When I have considered large apartment buildings I found apartmentratings.com helpful. Keep in mind it may skew a bit toward the negative as most people who are happy where they are aren't sitting down and writing reviews.
I think you would find Bethesda too expensive, bourgeois, and boring. Rockville is pretty far from the downtown DC action and a car is a real plus. I would recommend DC or downtown Silver Spring; maybe also Takoma Park or Mt. Rainier. Shared housing is common in our area due to the high rents and you might enjoy a group house socially, also if the location is good.
