We are considering a house in Ellicott City which falls within the 'walking distance' zone to the ES (Centennial Lane ES). Its a good 15 min walk to school and I am wondering (since the house is right on the 'walkable/School bus pick up' border) if he kid can instead go to the bus pick up location - does the Transportation office allow this?
Drop off would not be necessary as we are going to have an after school program.

Any advise is highly appreciated.
Thank you!

The official answer from the district would be no, its not allowed. But I'm in a similar circumstance with high school and our neighborhood borders on the walk/bus line. Some kids have gone to the nearby bus stop with no issue.
