Allegany County: Cumberland
Anne Arundel County: Annapolis
Baltimore City: Rowhouses
Baltimore County: Suburbs
Calvert County: Tidewater
Caroline County: "Flyover" county to those driving to the beaches
Carroll County: Piedmont
Cecil County: Where the Eastern Shore meets the Piedmont
Charles County: Old tobacco fields being replaced by expanding DC suburbia
Dorchester County: Swampy
Frederick County: Dairy farms
Garrett County: Deep Creek
Harford County: Cal Ripken
Howard County: McMansions
Kent County: West Delaware
Montgomery County: Yuppies
Prince George's County: Buppies
Queen Anne's County: Bay Bridge
St. Mary's County: Birthplace of the state
Somerset County: The most Dixie feeling
Talbot County: Fishing villages
Washington County: Western MD by downstaters, Central MD by the mountaineers
Wicomico County: Salisbury
Worcester County: Ocean City

Interesting descriptions, somewhat bland, but interesting nonetheless. It's fascinating on what people associate a particular area with.

Calvert County: Tidewater

Tidewater belongs more to St. Mary's County than Calvert. Calvert at one time, tobacco fields. Now? Not so much. I live by the Chesapeake so I'll say Baybuilt work boats and skipjacks dredging oysters. I miss those boats.

Well, you know. I was going to say Gateway to Western Maryland and the true Appalachians but that would have been too obscure.

I knew you'd get the Welcome to.......... reference coming from me.

How's it going?

A big T-storm blew through around lunch time. Gone just as quick as it came. That's about it. Counting down the days until my family's long weekend trip to Berkeley Springs this Friday.

We're getting it now, or almost. They're saying 70 mph winds.
