Hi, I am trying to get info for the area around Princess Anne. I'm a mom of 2 kids, a 6 yr old and infant. I am interested in taking classes at the Marylands School in Princess Anne. This would be a big move for my family. We are in PA now. We aren't looking to spend alot to buy. But first are just looking to rent. I seem to be getting lost in facts about the area and would love some real poeple input. Thanks

Default Princess Anne

Princess Anne is located in Somerset county. This is one of the poorest counties in the state of Maryland. It is also mostly rural and very, very racist. It's the home of the old plantations and it's small downtown still houses the slave quarters complete with shackles on the wall that you can visit for a fee. Transplants and even natives from other lower shore areas are typically met with mistrust and hostility in Princess Anne. I don't advise transplants to move there. Salisbury is a better choice but not much.

Cool Relocating

Princess Anne has a slower pace. It is a sleepy old town without a lot of city amenities. Salisbury is a short drive. You can buy an affordable home in both cities. I live in Salisbury and love it! As far as children, there is a lot in Salisbury, little league, athletics, dance, karate, etc. It is a great place for families. I am a realtor in the area and would love to help you if I can!
