I like a lot of what he's done and is trying to do for the state so far. I think he'd easily be a better president than either of the two running now.

In a heartbeat over who we have to choose from now. I like Hogan. It's pretty middle of the road, not too extreme one way or the other.

He hasn't done much as governor nor weighed in on many national issues, so it's hard to have much of an opinion either way. I'd certainly have an open mind about what his priorities and platform would consist of. It goes without saying that he's better than Trump, Cruz, Carson, Huckabee, Paul, etc. by default and I certainly hope the Republican party moves back towards the center after this reality tv host garbage gets kicked to the curb.

Define "not done much" and follow up with what "doing much" would be.

The question wasn't aimed at you but the posters who claimed he hasn't "done much".

I have the feeling I know what the answers will be and I'll share them later.

Trump is the centrist. A radical centrist, but a centrist none the less. Not a social conservative, doesn't even pretend to be. Not an economic conservative, as he has his own trillion dollar spending packages, again barely pretends to a smaller spender than his Democratic rival. Don't confuse fascism(radical, nationalist populism) with conservatism just because Trump successfully pulled off the coup and took control of the political party with the elephant logo for this cycle.

Cruz was the most conservative of the serious candidates in the primary and he lost.

Oh, I would vote for Hogan over anyone on the ballot now........but in politics familiarity breeds contempt and the "new guy" tends to have less baggage.
