I currently live in DC and my plan is to move to MD in December since I work in both Bethesda and Glen Burnie. I see Laurel is the best mid way point but I don't know much about the town. I'm also able to work from home as I please so I'm pretty open as to where to live. I've also heard Gambrills and Annapolis are nice. Any other opinions? I'm a single 40 year old male so I'd like for their to be some good restaurants and potentially a good amount of singles as well.

Crofton to Bethesda is an hour and 15 minutes. Add rush hour and you are well over 2 hours one way. Annapolis is even further away. Why these are being suggested is puzzling to say the least to me.

For your workplace in BETHESDA, I would factor in the use of the Metro in your decision to relocate, if there is a stop near your destination. Then, use the other Metro stops that you could use to enter the system as your factor to consider the Glen Burnie commute.

Based on the locations you mentioned, I'd shoot for somewhere like Laurel, Bowie, or Hanover (near Arundel Mills mall area). Odenton (Piney Orchard) might not be too terrible of a commute either.

There is a Marc Train depot a little west of Arundel Mills right off of Rt 100 that would connect you with the Metro in DC.
