I was told before that some are still open til July. I'm not sure which ones in MD are still open. I tried calling a week ago to various stores and no one ever picked up. I think they already cut off the phone lines?

As of when I passed by it a few days ago, the one in Columbia (on Dobbin Road) was still open.

Is KB Toys the next great alternative to Toys R Us now?

It's not always amazing when Google says the Toys R' Us in Annapolis is open at 9 a.m. and "usually less busy" or whatever but upon calling, the operator says it's currently closed.

So as with many recognizable brands it's the name. (Watch Manufactures from the early 20 century come to mind right away).

As usual I get everything out of thrifts. I am mostly interested in old toys, but for kids man thrifts can have great cheap toys. Often new, GW does a lot with Target Stuff that they buy, sometimes it's overpriced, but many times it's not. And collectors and flippers like myself will snap that stuff up as well if it's good and the price is right.
I bought a neat 1960ish Tonka Hydraulic Dump for $6 three weeks ago. Prices are all over the map.
My buddy will eventually trade me some Rolling Stones records for it.

It's sad to see some of these places go, but you have to know how to compete. Especially at the brick and mortar level.
