I'm surprised there aren't MORE in Prince George's.
I've not been up to Delaware much. Some of it may just be my parochialism since I think of Royal Farms being a Baltimore area thing.

Then again, I live in a County that when the K-Mart opened in the late 80s it was an invitation only black tie affair.

Never been to a RF. Don't have them out our way. We are in Sheetz country, and have been since the 1980s when it was a small Altoona based chain.

Older folks around here still call it "Sheetz's" as in "Sheetz's store" because the family is known locally.

Wawas are taking over DC and its surrounding suburbs. So I guess Baltimore will be a Royal Farms town and DC will be a Wawa town.

EDIT. I wonder what this will do to 7-11s. Wawas have better food and better coffee. There's a 7-11 on almost every corner it seems.

In my opinion, 7-11 is the McDonalds of convenience stores while Wawa is like a Chipotle or some other awesome food chain.

Sheetz is pretty fabtabulous as well. It is packed with a lot of stuff too. But a refreshing site on the highway when traveling.

Wish they would expand to Texas. Three years in Dallas and still no fried chicken that compares to Royal Farms. Now when I come to Baltimore it’s crabs, oysters, royal farms fried chicken and Joe Squared pizza.

7-11's could use an Update and I like Wawa's a lot but your comparison is not good. Chipotle is almost out of business and is having a hard time coming back from their "recent bad food out breaks"while McD's is still going strong, real strong.

Okay. I think people got the gist of my comparison.

It must be hit or miss depending on which store you get your chicken from. We were not impressed.

If you want really good Fried Chicken and you're in Southern Maryland try "Chaptico Market" in Chaptico MD.

Yeah, one other forum I frequent they were raving about it so wife and I stopped in to try it one day and neither of us were impressed. It was just OK but we’d rather go to Popeyes based on that one experience. Someone said maybe it was an off time so we’ll probably give it another try sometime......and of course if there’s anything that’s a matter of taste, it’s taste.
