Hello,

We will be relocating to MD soon and I will be working in Ft. Meade. My wife will also be attending grad school in D.C., so we were looking for a good/safe area to live in that would give each of us a fairly reasonable commute. Would Silver Spring be a good match? We will be looking at apartments. Thanks for your help!

Good enough.

For her... look carefully at the METRO maps.
Figure the best service choices that cross whichever school she is going to.
For you... learn the various driving route to Meade. You'll use them all.

Thanks. Are there any other areas we should look into? I'd prefer less than an hour commute, but we'd still like to live in an area with things to do/see. For reference, we don't have kids.
