I saw a post on Facebook that was kinda funny (and almost accurate for this time of year):

Maryland's forecast for today:
6am Winter
10am Spring
2pm Summer
4:30ish Fall

It's over thankfully. It's what I deal with cycling all summer. If you are active I don't know how you can like heat, and humidity.

I referenced 1941 a week ago for heat in October, and sure enough yesterday broke the record set in 1941. Hottest it's ever been in October since record keeping began.

Early October 2013 we had four days that came close to that 90 mark. Then the rest of the month was great. Hopefully that happens this month.

But, here it doesn’t last for a month, usually much less. During the winter, we often get a few days much warmer than normal, and in the summer, much cooler than normal. I can tell you, it does not happen that way in the rest of the east coast.

One year, in September, we took a cruise out of Charleston, SC. We spent a few days there before the cruise, and those were the hottest and most humid days I can remember anywhere.

I have also spent a lot of time in the Denver area while in the USAF. The last 25 years I got to spend a lot of time in Orange County, CA. Now, those are two places I could live in, if only my kids would move there first! That and I hit a lottery for California.
Case in point!

" I think we nice mix of seasons." We have 4 seasons, for a reason.
