I can remember when we had cold winter days that lasted. I can also remember mild days. We had some cold as hell days in the last decade, but they were one day events. Single digit highs. I can definitely remember days were the highs were much colder for longer periods of time.

I can only imagine how tough it'll be to maintain my garden this year with all of the "bad" bugs that have survived this warm winter
. I've seen stinkbugs out and about this whole winter

Yeah, I had thought the same. And mosquitoes as well as Japanese beetles.
Also, plants that need X number of hours of freezing weather won't fruit or flower as well, if at all.
