*If* the economy does turn down, coffee shops should be the first to feel the pinch, morseo for owner-operated non-chain stores. Stopping for premium coffee and a bite to eat is a luxury. I don't worry to much about this general area though. The Starbucks are still crowded.

Well we all need to eat regardless.
In my opnion coffee shop can not go out of business especially a coffee shop. Coffee is my opnion is like a drug, alot of people must have it or else their day is not right.

I think its a good idea. I do think that people are eating out less but its the more expensive restaurant not really deli

There is a Big Bean coffee shop in Severna Park already (I guess it is still there).

YES, I would be on the other end of town. The big Bean is on the B&A Trail if you are familiar with Severna Park.

Isn't there a Starbucks in the Safeway on the corner of Jumpers and Benfield?

Also, there used to be a french bakery in Benfield Village Shopping Center... you might be up for a lot of competition in that spot...

I don't remember a Starbucks there. My only concern would be the economy but if you are in the beginning stages and planning on opening in a year or so, it would probably be good if you are in a good location that is easy to get in and out. The Big Bean is hard to get into, especially if you are trying to pick up something on your way.

Yep. There definitely is a Starbucks in the Safeway. Both Safeway and Starbucks list the same address on their websites: 540 Benfield Rd.
