Allegany County is going down the tubes fast. We never had much of a first wave, and are getting really hard right now. All of my "bubbles" have been burst by someone going down with the illness, or being exposed to it and having to quarantine.

Not to rub salt.......Only Talbot has fewer cases than Allegany. The small Eastern Shore Counties, likely got spillover from beach traffic. As you can see in the first graph, a case can be made that we are entering the 3rd wave.

Allegany county had no real first wave, has a small population, and is the only county without a free testing center.

Check out the rate of case growth. It's not good. More or less, 100 confirmed new cases a week in a county of 70k

Why is Allegany the only county without free testing?
There are 8 counties with smaller populations. I live in PG, we have 13 times more people, and 45 times the number of cases.

I don't think we ever left the first wave. It lessoned some but not enough to say the wave ended. Then people got lazy , the drop stopped and the wave continued.

I don't know TBH why we don't have free testing.

Check this out.

https://coronavirus.maryland.gov/

Go to 7 Day Moving Average Case Rate per 100K by Jurisdiction and pick Allegany (you will have to use the bottom right dashboard, and scroll one metric to the right.) Our cases are exploding compared to the state average over the last 3 weeks. Try to find a county that is doing that much worse than the state as a whole right now, I could not do so. You will also see what I mean when I say "we didn't have much of a first wave."
