Nothing about priority for elder persons with co-morbidities. I guess they just want us to die.

I'm 70 with diabetes and have to wait until early March, when everybody 65-74 can get the vaccine.

What’s taking Hogan SO LONG????!!! Other states already have significant portions of their populations already getting the first shots. Maryland is just starting to get their first health care workers their first shots!!

Hogan loved criticizing Trump about his slow response to COVID-19. It looks like Hogan’s not that much better.

Maryland has been vaccinating all along.I have talked to folks in other states who are not vacinating EMS and Firefighters yet.

I wish it was happening faster but I don't see where MD is behind anyone else

Partisan tosh.

Maryland has been vaccinating health workers for some time now.

The problem, from what I hear, is that many health workers aren't rushing to get the vaccine.

Weird, huh? I have a friend, age 73, who has diabetes (and hypertension). Since she also has macular degeneration that requires periodic eye injections she cannot simply "stay home". I thought Hogan was trying to reduce the burden on Hospital staff by vaccinating those at highest risk of hospitalization as soon as possible. Apparently not.

I was told unofficially that there is such a high percentage of people in the 65-75 range that there was not much advantage in complicating the plan by creating a separate class of recipients. I have at least two classes of risk besides being over 65 so I wondered about it also so I asked an acquaintance who has access to the decision making process.

My issue is the groupings. Our neighbors (who are still in their homes) at age 68-70 with medical conditions are in group C with prisoners. I think everyone is hoping this program become organized and vaccinations increase soon. Yesterday, the CDC ran an ad about "How important it is for people over 65 to go out and get the vaccine". They established the 75 age guidelines. I have read that many states lowered the requirement to age 65.

no residency requirement in Florida if you want the shot before March.

Ask your acquaintance who came up with the idea to call the groups 1A, 1B, and 1C, instead of numbering them 1,2,3,4,5. Do they really think we are that stupid that we would feel better being in a 1 category? That alone pisses me off to no end.

I am going to have to check out whether or not you have to be a Florida Resident. I have friends in The Villages.

Hogan will get a lot fewer votes from people over 65 at this point in time, if he ever runs for any office in the future, because of this.

She is on the data side of the information flow not the marketing side. I think the 1A, 1B (not sure about 1C) came down from the National level. It seems to be used elsewhere to so I suspect there was some 'guidance' on that.
