Hopefully she can find something decent and safe for like 1K a month. Will be working at Aberdeen Proving Grounds.

Is she Civilian or military? If military I'm sure they have a base housing office which can help. If Civilian she should be able to talk to people where she works to get some ideas, especially if she is a contractor that was hired for a specific contract.

I guess the biggest questions to give a good answer would be: a) How close to APG will she need to live? b) Is it just for her? A 1 bedroom or studio apartment good? or does she have spouse, kids, pets, etc and need a rental house or larger apartment?

Most folks I work with there live within 30m drive from near Bel Air up and around to North East. Though most own their homes. Bel Air is nice, but the rentals can be pricey if she's doing it solo. The 'most affordable' rentals are in Edgewood, or even further south closer to the city in the Rosedale area. But those places are not ideal living locales.

1 br Studio is fine, hopefully something for like 1000 a month.

She will be a civilian contractor. Doesn't have a start date yet.

Edgewood used to be nice, not so sure about that now. Joppatown, maybe?

Abingdon, Bel Air, Aberdeen, White Marsh, Joppatowne.

I assume they will be working at APG North (main part of the base) in Aberdeen and not APG South, which is the smaller part of the base in Edgewood.

That might be a deciding factor or not. Maybe double check where they are going to be working from?

You might be able to find something for $1k/month in the Edgewood area, but it's not one of the more desirable areas.

I know people that live in southern PA, Delaware, near DC (Rockville), out in Westminster and Owings Mills, that make the commute to APG every day, but those are long commutes.
