I've searched through the forums and there is a fair amount on Owings Mills here, but I was looking for any opinions on the Briarwood apartments.

My wife and I liked that and other apartments on Lakeside, but when you go to the apartment ratings site, you read some scary stories. And with that, it's even hard to get a good idea and sort between real reports, people with a grudge just trying to lower an apartment's rating and what looks to be a lot of racist rants. I just want somewhere nice where I don't have to worry about my wife walking the dog at night if I'm working late.

I live in Towson now and spend a lot of time downtown so I'm not new to the region or anything, but I was hoping for a little more insight on that area and apartment complex.

Thanks,
todd

I used to live at the Red Run Apartments on Lakeside Drive back in 2005 to 2006. Lots of crime, including armed robberies in the parking areas, break-ins into cars, and vandalism. I would absolutely not feel safe letting my wife walk alone at night even if the dog was a pit bull.

Owings Mills area is going downhill. Please stay away from Red Run apartments. I am moving next month. Had my car and truck broken into within 5 months. I've also had gas stolen from my truck. If its not a gated community I would stay away. Just my opinion.
