Hi we will be moving to Kent Island this coming Spring...We were looking in the South Wind Community.(on the lower end of the pricing) It just looked so beautiful. Another area we considered were the new homes in Gibson's Grant.
..Do those areas flood?/Do they have a problem with well water? I also read that Grasonville is a nice area....I am just confused, I know nothing of the area( I do know that we do not want to be on the Annapolis side of the Bridge...)
Any info on flooding areas or well water would be much appreciated..

I live close to Gibson's Grant. Well water on Kent Island smells like rotten eggs and has a lot of iron in it. This area isnt known for it's good water quality. I have a water softener and run tap water through a Brita filter before drinking it. But it is drinkable. Flooding may be a problem if a big storm ever comes up the Chesapeake Bay. This area flooded during Isabel in 2003. Get flood insurance. Otherwise, the quality of life on Kent Island is so much better than Annapolis in my opinion.

thanks Kevin...I still am a litttle concerned about the well water but I also like the area much better than Annapolis. (We were thinking about building in Gibson's Grant. It is such a pretty area.)..I'm in no hurry though...thanks for your reply!
