We're looking for a safe, affordable, diverse, family-friendly community in howard county. We have about $250k to spend on a house. Safety and great schools are a MUST. I'm not familiar with the areas of howard county so please give the names of location. any help is appreciated.

Since Howard County is expensive you will not be able to find a single family house for $250,000. You may be able to find a small townhouse or a larger condo for that price.

Best schools would be Centenial, Mount Hebron and Glenelg. If you stay North of route 40 or west of 31 you'll be good. Centenial is below that line but surrounded by established residents. All information on schools and centralized test scores and rankings are public information. All of Maryland is diverse, just some areas are less desireably so.........
