I wiling be moving to Baltimore County in the near near future and I need help with deciding where to move. I have 3 daughters and I want them to have a safe neighborhood with great schools. I know there is crime everywhere, but some places are just a little ridiculous with how rampant the crime is. I would prefer to have a place where my kids can take the dog for a walk, play in the front yard, go to dance class, etc. I have no idea where to begin. I don't care about the racial makeup of the neighborhood because I want my children to be exposed to diverse cultural experiences. However, I would hope to have this in a fairly upscale community, not rich but not poor either. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm curious to know, what are the predominately black neighborhoods of B-more county, as well as white. Im asking just to know.

I don't know Baltimore county very well but there are places where you can get demographics for any area. You can check out statistics here, Trulia and a couple of other sites. If you want to know crime statistics those are also available on-line. You can do crime reports by address.

Good luck

Baltimore County, is a huge county with over 700,000 people so it has good and bad areas. Check out Towson, Timonium, Hunt Valley, Cockeysville, Catonsville, Reisterstown, and Pikesville.
