If so why did you move?
Do you still like the fact that you moved to New York?

I will be moving to NYC soon but just wanted to get some feedback from those that have made the plunge. I am doing this more to advance in my career with a good opportunity out there.

i'm not from maryland, i'm from newyork, but i was thinking of going on vacation to maryland or maybe eventually moving there... even though i love massachusetts, i want to get away from all the snow. however, i don't know if i can leave the city!

I absolutely love new york... i think the city can be a big adjustment and change if you're not used to it, but there are surrounding suburbs that are really nice and busy too.... there's queens, brooklyn, staten island and even long island.

my friend from ny went to college down in maryland and she loves it, but i don't know if she's made up her mind if she's going to live there after college or come back to ny.

the city is busy busy busy, and it's so cold at times, certain areas are definitely bad so you have to be careful of course, the people are liberal and accepting... i mean lots of people say there's a "new york attitude" which means not friendly and rude, but i don't know it's new york! the subways are dirty i guess, but i love, love, love them!

the suburbs on long island are amazing, i acually love long island, because there is a lot to do and you can find a place near a train station and then bam you're right there... only 30-45 minutes away.... certain areas of brooklyn and queens are very nice, but certain areas are not so nice... but it's fairly easy to commute, once you get the hang of it. are you moving directly into the city?

good luck with your move everything will always be okay!! it will be an adventure!
