My friend and I are college seniors planning to live together after graduation. He has accepted a job at Fort Meade and I will be working at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Any ideas where we should live so that we can each have a reasonable commute? I was thinking of Federal Hill/Locust Point, and am especially curious about the reverse commute out of Baltimore to APG on I-95.

The Federal Hill/Locust Point area will probably work well for you and your friend. It's right in the middle between Fort Meade and Aberdeen, accessible to I-95, and since it's in the city there will be plenty of stuff for the both of you to do. I'm not sure about the traffic on I 95 though.

The reverse commute will be a piece of cake. I used to live downtown (Lombard and Paca) by the Marriott and Camden Yard when I was working at APG (Edgewood Arsenal side) and that was the smoothest commute. Took me about 25-30 minutes to get from downtown to base with no worries about traffic at all on I-95 in either directions.
