I am moving to Baltimore soon and wondering how public transportation is. I live in Boston so I have a car but also use public transportation when avoiding dowtown and traffic clusters. Is it the same for Baltimore, or should I just ditch the car and can I get around easy enough without it (for both school and work). Thanks

Did your parents make you post this question? Well, no college student needs a car. I'll assume UMB is the University of Maryland. They have on-campus food, housing and activities, so you will not need to drive. I think most universities are that way, but many kids seem to get their parents to buy them a car anyway. If you're going to attend the university of Baltimore you can walk to the Supermarkets, bars, restaurants, convenience stores, Hospitals etc. You can live in Mt. Vernon or any other nearby area and you will not need a car there, either.
