The building is new, but the church itself isn't. The old building is in Glenarden.

Miscellaneous but interesting fact: It's the home church of Washington Post columnist Michelle Singletary; she's written about it before.

BTW, in Baltimore, there's Bethel AME, New Psalmist and the Empowerment Temple. I think the third one is still around.

Thanks....I've only been to New Psalmist once before years ago. I may check it out again because I don't remember if I liked that church or not. Empowerment Temple is nice...not sure if I would join..but a nice church. Bethel AME is nice too. I think I'm just having some withdrawal symptoms from my church in philly....LOL!!!!

You can also check out From the Heart Church Ministries. The church has relocated to Clinton, MD. Here's a link to the churches website. You can view the Sunday services online at 8:00am and 11:00am. Tuesday night bible study can also be viewed online.

MDbound2, what was the name of your church in Philly? I just moved here and am looking for a good church.

Does anyone know why Obama didn't reach out to a black church in either DC or PG?
