Hi,
My family and I are planning to move back to Maryland next summer. Previously my husband always had IT jobs in Silver Spring or DC, but moving back we are hoping to avoid long commute jobs. I've been looking on John Hopkins' website and noticed that they have nice paying IT jobs. My question is, does anyone know about how far in advance my husband needs to begin applying for an IT position there? I know sometimes applying for DC IT jobs can take quite a while. It would be great it he had a job lined up anywhere from May-July of 2010.
Thanks for your response!!

Most interview processes like this require a few months. You'll need to apply and setup a interview time. You may not hear back from the employer for up to 3 months (or at all if he didn't get the job). Once you've been offered a position, all arrangements can be made regarding the start date, etc. etc.

FYI there are lots of IT jobs in Southern MD with PAX River NAS... You can live in close proximity to your job for much cheaper than anything around DC...
