I'm driving down from Boston towards Charleston and looking for a stopping point along the way. Was thinking of Baltimore or Annapolis. Any suggestions/preferences? I don't need to go to NY or DC.

I'd recommend Annapolis. A hotel here would probably be a little cheaper than up in Baltimore, and personally I'd much rather spend the night in downtown Annapolis than anywhere in Baltimore.

Agreed, unless you like sketchy strip joints then the nightlife in Balmer can be slightly disappointing. Annapolis is easier to navigate and will likely be cheaper to stay in.

I'd do Baltimore. There are plenty of nice areas to stay for the night and enjoy the town. Try the Admiral Fells in Fells Point: close and convenient to 95 which I am assuming you are taking. Annapolis is a hitch from 95 with all of the traffic that goes with it.

Default Baltimore or Annapolis

Annapolis is actually about 30 minutes of of Inerstate 95. Look for the BWI Red Roof Inn & you can hop on a shuttle, in 2-5 minutes be on the Light Rail to Baltimore Harbor...Tons of shopping, Restaurants & Sight Seeing! You can even catch a sporting event.

Best of luck, ENJOY!
