I'm looking for a one bedroom to rent in the white oak area in a safe neighborhood....any idea please....

I'm not sure where White Oak is (need to be more specific, that could be the name of dozens of communities) but in general "safe" = avoiding hoodrats, and keeping hoodrats at bay = paying just enough $$$ so that they're priced out of the area.

So if you want safe you have to be willing to pay for it. We all do what we have to do to keep our families safe. Trust me, if I could shell out less for housing I would, but I simply cannot compromise safety.

I'd suggest check the resident reviews at Apartmentratings.com . I agree with the previous post in that you should expect to pay for safety. Perhaps White Oak already has too many of the hood elements. I'd suggest looking further north to Burtonsville or further west towards Glenmont and Aspen Hill. Or around where the ICC crosses the New Hampshire or Layhill Road corridors.
