From what I've been told about 4K+ people are getting their final notices in starting in October as to whether they are staying or moving from Ft. Monmouth to MD. I know there's been a slow stream of people coming in here to APG, but we haven't seen the large wave yet that most of us are hearing about around the area.

Just curious if anyone is looking/in the process/waiting to moving to MD for BRAC at APG? I know the housing market has slowed down, so I don't know if there's more renters than buyers, or are people just waiting.

I just moved to De. with the Brac. I have lots of info if you are interested. We are having a beautiful house built. 35 min commute, low taxes, and great schools.

True ruby, but a lot of it is backdated. I'm looking for fresh info, not something from a few years or months ago. Sandee, thanks for the email and good luck to you!

The big wave of people should be coming next summer and the following summer. Letters I hear are going out this Oct. I think it will be a slow process though. Some people want to move early like I did and some want to wait till the end. Fort Monmouth has to be closed by Sept 2011, so we know people will be here by then.
