Hello Forum

I currently rent a 1900's apt in Mt. Vernon. I am looking to buy a condo or townhouse in Columbia to be closer to my boyfriend, but everything there looks alike to me.

Are there any neighborhoods/areas in Columbia that have more of a downtown vibe with lots of artists, students, cool shops/restaurants/hangouts within walking distance?

Any help would be appreciated.

Since I originally posted I found a terrific condo complex - called The Cove right by Wilde Lake and the mall. It's not reallly the same as the Mt. Vernon, but the units are huge, there seems to be more residents than rentals and the area is safe, clean and convenient.
