Just returned from the Bayard House in Chesapeake City. They were the first restaurant on the "Chesapeake City St. Pat's Bar Crawl" and they had a good crowd. However, they were not playing any Irish music. Where should I be going this weekend, on St. Pat's day, and next weekend to get some bagpipers, a few *** dance routines, and some good music.

Default Kildare's in Newark

Brought the family to Kildare's in Newark, DE yesterday for St. Pat's. It was worth the trip. They had a great band, Bare Knuckle Boxers, who played alot of Irish songs with a rock/punk twist. In addition, a bunch of young girls took to the stage for some Irish step dancing/****. For next year, this may the place to go. I'd get there early though as when we left around 8pm, it had a huge line to get in.

Default Note for Next Year - CC Parade

Took the family to the Chesapeake City St. Pat's parade. It was perfect for a young family. Very easy to find parking as well as a good vantage point to see the parade up close. It is a small 20 minute parade with bagpipers, people giving out candy, and some interesting characters and I highly recommend it as a great outing for the kids and those who are kids at heart.
