Ryan Homes in Nottingham (neighborhood, construction, closing)

Hi All,

I've recently decided to build a ryan home in Nottingham MD. This is my first home. i'm really excited and nervous cuz i read many not so good complaints about ryan homes.

I was wondering if anyone lives in a ryan home around the area. I noticed that there're couple new communities (Long Ridge or Bentley's Ridge) in white marsh/nottingham.

I would like to know any goods and bads about your home, community, or any advice before my closing. Thanks!

they get badmouthed a lot, but they're your average housing construction company. best thing you can do is look at the neighborhood, look at the quality of work, etc. talk to the neighbors, ask what they think.

people complain, but they use the general industry standards, which can be reassuring. i have an anecdotal story about a friend up in NJ who said one of his construction buddies liked Ryan Homes the best. why? they use standard equipment/tools/materials. he said some places like toll brothers use proprietary stuff and can be a pain to deal with.

purely anecdotal. just get informed and you should be safe.
