We currently have Sprint for our cellphone service here in Ohio. Does anyone know if their service is good in MA/RI? Or can you recommend a service that doesn't always drop there? Thanks

Never had Sprint but my other half had it though his company and never had any problems here..I know if you have just Nextel your going to have issues..I had it for work and it was nothing but dead spots..missed calls..etc..went with Verizon and no problems. If your coming for a visit then you should be fine with Sprint as your cell carrier...

also avoid ATT. Verizon because of their historic foothold, they seem to do the best. Specifically in more remote areas(e.g. Western MA.)

I use to have Sprint and it was great if you in the city as are all cell phones. But even some areas on the south shore not even that far from Boston I would lose signal. This was also like 8 years ago so maybe they have put up more towers. When I use to sell cell phones Verizon always had the strongest network in the area. They were definitely the best in all those spots when other networks were soft. Right now I use AT&T and they are good aside from like the other night when I went to some beach that must have been too far from a tower. If you are near a city you will be fine with sprint. If you are living in the middle of nowhere Mass you might want something else. I mostly hang near/in Boston so I'm going to be switching to T Mobile cause AT&T is a ripoff.

Sprint is the best value for the money and IMHO has better service than At&t,as i stated in an earlier post i have yet to lose signal anywhere in Massachusetts including the Berkshire,The cape, south and north shore and central mass.

I don't remember any issues with Sprint when I lived in MA, but I'm not a heavy cell phone user either.

I have an AT&T Iphone now. Anyone have any experience with that in Central Mass? What areas have 3G? Which don't?
